PUBLIC NOTICE - JULY 25, 2023

To our valued clients, 

We regret to inform you that we have no other options but to close the business “Banana Tans”. 

Our last day of business was on Monday August 28th, 2023 @ 6pm. 

Banana Tans is not relocating and will no longer be offering any type of products or services. 

The decision to close this business was not an easy one and we’ve enjoyed the relationships with each and everyone of our customers over the years.

Since the forced relocation of the business to this new location in spring 2020, we have been challenged by the rebuild post Covid Pandemic, the ongoing restricted parking & construction associated with the Broadway Skytrain project and as of late the 4 month heatwave that began in May, all this has caused a 75% drop in business creating an unsustainable business.

We have tried to work with our landlord and the local business community to find relief to our economic challenges of the past 3 years but have run out of options. 

We would like to thank the community of Mount Pleasant and all our customers that we have done business with over the years.  This neighbourhood was chosen in 2007 because of its vibrancy, sense of community, a friendly place to do business and what was a growing retail community. 

The East-West Broadway corridor will continue faced with many challenges n the coming year; hostile traffic patterns / construction closures / loss of neighbourhood parking / business accessibility / loss of pedestrians and the closure of so many businesses in just the last 18 months. 

We now are just another casualty of these many challenges.

We thank you for an amazing 17 years, Banana Tans could not have been as successful as it was without your loyalty.

Our last day of business, the last day to collect your purchases, the last day to use your packages was August 28th, 2023 before 6pm

We have worked with a local Tanning Salon that will honour your remaining points packages starting August 29th, 2023 and that salon has agreed to provide, for no fee or compensation, the use of their facilities until December 31st 2023.
